Consumers can now decipher a little bit of labeling hieroglyphics in the produce section of the grocery store. Those little stickers on loose fruits and vegetables can be informative:

MSM/Glucosamine Cream

MSM/Glucosamine Cream MSM/Glucosamine Cream [Structural] provides the body with MSM, a source of organic sulfur (an important constituent of the body's tissues), and glucosamine, a building block of cartilage. Testimonials

My story begins with the introduction of this cream by Nature's Sunshine Products. I purchased two tubes and asked the other two massage therapists in my office to help me "test" them for a few months to see if we should have them for sale and use. (This was back in my cautious days.) We all used the cream on our regular clients who were willing to try something new. Those clients ordered 10 tubes that first day! So much for testing it for a few months! I ordered some for stock that day.

Hmmm... Well if it worked so well for them... I took inventory of my body and found an ache in my right S.I. joint (hip area). I rubbed a small amount next to my sacrum where I felt the pain and decided to wait to see what would happen. It didn't take long, just long enough to walk about 20 steps or so. The pain was completely gone! (Keep in mind this is not usually permanent.) Wow! It had my attention. Thus began my love affair with MSM/Glucosamine Cream.

So... How do I use it?

There is nothing better, in my opinion, for getting those small little adhesion knots out of a clients low back. The next time you are working on someone's lumbar and sacral region and feel more tension than should be there - try some MSM/Glucosamine Cream. The first thing you should notice is a softening of the top layer of muscles. It will be easier to feel those small little "lumps" now. As the cream and you continue to work it will be easier to work out these knots. Most, if not all, clients (of those who were complaining of pain) can feel a difference at this point. I usually start clients laying on their stomach. When I ask them to turn over after working on their lumbar region I ask them to give me some feedback as to the pain in that area. They always report a reduction if not total elimination.

Along that same line, I use the cream, massage, and some stretching to help clients complaining of sciatica. Some clients get off the table with the pain gone - and it never comes back. For others it takes a few visits. And, of course, there are those who keep coming back to me for relief and buy some cream to use at home in between visits.

A few weeks ago, I was at a convention where I could not get away from the second hand cigarette smoke which filled the area. I do not tolerate smoke well and it was not long before I had a tension headache. I did not have any appropriate herbs with me to take so I had to do with what I did have. One thing that I did have was MSM/Glucosamine Cream. Knowing that many tension headaches come from muscle tension in the area at the top of a neck just below the back of the head, hmm... So I tried some cream there. Now I do not want to try and convince you that the headache went completely away, but the cream did loosen the muscle tension which allowed the bones to go back to a more normal place, which did greatly reduce the headache. I will have to work on this one some more.

I have successfully used the cream along the spine where nerves come out and go down the arms. This is part of my normal routine for clients complaining of all those repetitive use conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

I must warn you that this cream does not always work on all people. That is why I try it on them before selling to them. It does work on most people, however. I am not a chemist and can not tell you why. I am just reporting this so that you will not be disappointed if it does not work on the first person you use it on. Keep trying and I am sure you will love the results.
